On July 12 2014 @ 1.14pm EST, is the Launch  for Orbital 2 Commercial Resupply Services Mission to The International Space Station.

Launching from the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport at NASA's Wallops Flight Facility, Orbital 2 will deliver cargo and crew supplies to the International Space Station.

This Week @ NASA - Launch of NASA’s Orbiting Carbon Observatory-2

OCO-2 is NASA’s first mission dedicated to studying atmospheric carbon dioxide, the leading human-produced greenhouse gas driving changes in Earth’s climate. OCO-2 will provide a new tool for understanding the human and natural sources of carbon dioxide emissions and the natural “sinks” that absorb carbon dioxide and help control its buildup. 


The launch of NASA’s Orbiting Carbon Observatory-2 mission (OCO-2) at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California, is scheduled for Tuesday, July 1. Liftoff from Space Launch Complex 2 aboard a United Launch Alliance Delta II rocket is targeted for 5:56 a.m. EDT (2:56 a.m. PDT) at the opening of a 30-second launch window.

Breaking News - Three new ISS Residents join the crew at the International Space station - NASA

The International Space Station has three new residents. Expedition 37/38 Soyuz Commander Oleg Kotov, Flight Engineer Sergey Ryazanskiy and NASA Flight Engineer Michael Hopkins arrived six hours after launching from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.
